A Klutz and her Dreams

Ok so today has been interesting. I woke up late didn’t have time for a shower, but hey I’m at the switch all day so no big deal right? Pull hair back into a ponytail (or as much of one that is possible) break out half a can of hairspray to hold it and some clippies. Throw on my gray t-shirt that looks nice and a pair of jeans since it is Friday and head out the door with my Wii jacket. I discover when i get to work I’m the ambassador figure head that gets to go to the meeting on our initial launch and how we still do not have data services working again. Yeah that was fun.

Realized that shrimp that has gone to room temperature and then re-refrigerated shouldn’t be eaten so there goes my lunch concept. But i went home and grabbed some frozen custard. Yeah I know sooo not on the diet but it was one of those days.

Now comes the funny part… I was heading home for the night talking over my shoulder while walking down the narrow hallway in the server room. I finish saying goodbye and then full speed faceplant into this 6″ steel beam holding up all of the fiber for the switch. Yes when you run head first into a hollow steel verticle beam it does make a loud bong noise. Slightly dizzy and laughing my ass off I stumble out to my car and look in the mirror and I have a 2″ wide red mark going down the center of my forehead and a dull pain n my head. i jst hope the bruise is gone by Monday…
