EVE Blog Banter #3

Welcome to the third installment of the EVE Blog Banter, the monthly EVE Online blogging extravaganza created by Crazy Kinux. The EVE Blog Banter involves an enthusiastic group of gaming bloggers, a common topic within the realm of EVE Online, and a week to post articles pertaining to the said topic. The resulting articles can either be short or quite extensive, either funny or dead serious, but are always a great fun to read! Any questions about the EVE Blog Banter should be directed here. This month’s EVE Blog Banter comes to us from Roc Wieler of Roc’s Ramblings. Roc’s asks us to “write a story about a fellow EVE Blogger, or an EVE player whom has inspired you or affected you in some tangible way. After your story, describe why you chose them, and any Holiday wish you have specifically for them”.

It has taken me a few days to mull over this and decide who has most inspired me in EVE. The reason I am so torn is because I started playing the game because my boyfriend, Melystus, is the one who introduced me to Eve-Online. I mean if I had never met him I wouldn’t have known that Eve-Online existed and still be a 50+ hour per week Raider for the Horde in World of Warcraft.

If Piracy was my trade of choice: Melystus would be the guy to talk to and Legio Immortalis the corp to join. But, truth be told, Care Bear-ism is in my blood. He told me back in the day about the Production sister corp to Legio, Black Hole Inc, and that is where I found my Eve Home. It is also where I met Shelby Mustang.

Shelby is by far the most inspirational of all the players I have run into. Shelby has taught me all the in’s and outs I know on the industrial scheme of things. What things sell, what doesn’t, how to get the most isk out of your time, not to mention getting me my first Hulk and now my first Orca on Credit before I had the isk to cover them. Any questions I needed answered or any ore I needed offloaded quickly I always knew I could go to Shelby without worry.

And for the Orca, my favorite of all of my Christmas Presents, I am also sending him a carton of menthol smokes .
