A Klutz and her Dreams

Falling back on a nightmarish trance
My world was blinded by sweet romance
He, my love, Keeps me safe and whole;
But the news from tonight is mutilating my soul.
The love of my life brought me the news tonight
The information was of his friend’s unknown blight.
The tears that run down my face into the abyss of pain -
Fell for the ones involved in this horrendous game.
I don’t know how to react -
My soul is crying my heart turning black.
The fear in my blood keeps me safety of slumber.
But the knowledge in my brain forces me to remember.
My escape of forgetting has been lost on this night.
I now realize forgetting only ends in painful respite.
Looking past the truth and intuitions of the heart,
Causes the youth of the world to fall apart.
